SAUERKRAUT



Sauerkraut is a fermented food that when consumed will introduce beneficial bacteria into your digestive system. 
Sauerkraut improves bowel health, aids digestion, and improves immunity.

You will need
1 cabbage
A good pinch of Changing Habits seaweed salt
¼ cup Kultured Wellness kefir 
2 litre jar

 
How to make it?

  1. Finely slice the cabbage and place in a large bowl.

  2. Add in the salt, massage the cabbage until moisture releases 
    and pack tightly into a jar. 

  3. Add in the kefir and pack with fillers if required. 

  4. Keep the moisture over the top of cabbage. 

  5. Ferment on bench top for 1 week (sugar loaf) or Ferment for up to 2 weeks (red and drumhead) 

*Get adventurous try using different vegetables and spices for a slightly different variation
