Raw Mars Slice

This healthy Raw Mars Slice is made even more nutritious by fermenting and is still incredibly delicious! 

Base

2 cups cashews

1 cup coconut, shredded 

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup cacao powder

1/4 cup fermented coconut yoghurt

1 tablespoon maple syrup

Line 24cm square cake tin with baking paper. Put all ingredients into a food processor and combine ingredients until mixture is well combined and smooth consistency. Spread mixture in tin, pressing evenly. Place into the freezer to set. 

 

1st Layer

1 cup raw cashews, soaked in hot water

1 cup Fermented Coconut Yoghurt

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 vanilla beans, scraped 

Place ingredients into blender and blend until smooth, pour on top of base and place back in freezer.


Caramel Filling

16 dates, seeds removed

1/2 cup fermented coconut yoghurt

1/4 cup coconut oil

Place ingredients into blender and blend until smooth, pour on top of 1st layer and place back in freezer.

 

Chocolate topping

1/2 cup Cacao melts 

1/4 cup coconut oil

Combine ingredients, melt and pour on top of the caramel filling. Place in fridge to set. 

Once the chocolate is set you can use a HOT knife to cut into serving slices.

Slice can be stored in the fridge or freezer until you are ready to enjoy!
